Sir J.T. Ogunniyi, Principal Solicitor at JT Ogunniyi & Co., was honoured with prestigious award at the 2025 edition of the Awards Celebrating Excellence (ACE), held on October 26, 2025 at Watercress Event Centre, Ikeja, Lagos State.
The ACE Awards Management conferred on him the title of Outstanding Legal and Luminary Icon in Nigeria, in recognition of his distinguished pedigree, professional antecedents, and unwavering dedication to the Nigerian Bar.
The award highlighted Sir Ogunniyi’s longstanding contributions to legal practice and his philanthropic impact across communities in Nigeria. Known for his integrity, legal acumen, and commitment to justice, Sir Ogunniyi has built a reputation as a respected figure in the legal profession.
The ACE Awards, which celebrate excellence across various sectors, spotlight individuals whose work has significantly shaped their industries and society. Ogunniyi’s recognition as both a legal luminary and philanthropist underscores his multifaceted impact.
After receiving his award, Sir J.T. Ogunniyi addressed the audience with heartfelt appreciation:
“A noble cause to die down. It is a lot of resources that they have used to host us here without necessarily saying you must pay money. And in Europe, when you appreciate what have been done for you, if you make that person to do more…”
He continued with a message of gratitude and blessing:
“God will continue to give you more wisdom, more knowledge, more courage and ways to move forward. And above all, the Sunday eight to all of you, for those who have been here, particularly for those who came along for the awarding. On behalf of my colleagues, I sincerely thank all of you. We appreciate everything you done for tonight, and as you are there for us, God will always be there for you. Thank you all. I celebrate you all.”
