Lagos, Nigeria; Friday 25th April 2025: Leading telecommunications service provider, Airtel Nigeria, has stepped in to support 31 Nigerian women recently rescued from Ghana, helping them reconnect with their loved ones and begin the journey to rebuilding their lives. The women, who returned to Nigeria through the intervention of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), were officially received on Friday, 25thof April at the NiDCOM office in Agidingbi, Lagos. As part of efforts to support the returnees in reconnecting with their families, Airtel Nigeria donated SIM cards, each preloaded with airtime and data. The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has directed banks to immediately identify and close any FIRS tax and levy collection accounts not authorised under the TaxPro Max system. The TaxPro Max is a homegrown tax administration platform that facilitates tax-related activities, including registration, filing, payment issuance of tax clearance certificates, among others. Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has said that his administration has intensified efforts to provide basic infrastructure and create a conducive business environment, noting that more industries have flocked to the state in six years than in previous administrations.
