The President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has said there maybe no possibility of the state-owned Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna refineries functioning again. Female recruits presently undergoing training under the watch of Ogun State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun, have been dismissed following the discovery that they are pregnant. The female recruits which were six in number, according to the Commander of the Agency, Brig General Alade Adedigba (rtd) were discovered after a routine pregnancy test conducted on about 125 female recruits in the camp in Sagamu area of the state. Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s candidate in the September 2024 Edo State governorship election, has faulted the Supreme Court judgment affirming Senator Monday Okpebholo of All Progressive Congress (APC), as the governor of the state, saying the ruling does not amount to justice. The Federal Government has officially pegged 16 years as the minimum age for admission into the nation’s tertiary institutions. Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, made this known on Tuesday, during the 2025 Policy Meeting of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) held in Abuja. Alausa, while declaring the meeting open, emphasised that the age benchmark is now official and non-negotiable. Former Oyo State Governor, Chief Rasheed Ladoja, is set to become the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland following the demise of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, who passed away on Monday at the age of 90.
