Team Ogun's Male and Female cricket vie for bronze medals at National Sports Festival 2

Team Ogun’s male and female cricket teams have been condemned to the bronze medal matches of the T20 cricket at the ongoing Gateway games. The two host teams lost their respective semi-finals on Friday in disappointing fashions.

The male team will face Team Oyo in the bronze medal match on Saturday after losing to Team Edo in the semifinals by nine wickets. Team Oyo lost to Kaduna in their own semifinals.

The host cricket teams will hope to contribute to Team Ogun’s medal overall with a double-bronze medal in the third place matches as the women’s team hope to cap an impressive campaign off with bronze after losing to Team Lagos on Friday in the semifinals.

Team Lagos secured a place in the Gold medal match with an eight runs win and will face Edo in the final. Team Ogun women will on Saturday play for a bronze medal match against their counterparts from Akwa Ibom.
