The former Councilors, Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and Secretaries who served under the past Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has written an open letter to  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over non payment of their severance package and other allowances by Governor Dapo Abiodun.

The Ex Councillors are 349,  the Chairmen 57, Vice Chairmen 57, while the Secretaries 57 in numbers.

In the open letter which was signed by Hon. Leteef Monsuru Abiodun and made available to journalists in Abeokuta on Monday, the ex- Councilors and the Chairmen called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to come to their aid in ensuring that they all recieve their severance package and other allowances.

They asked the President to command the Governor to pay them without no delay, saying that it is their constitutional right to receive the money.

The Statement reads” We the  349 councilors,  57 Chairmen, 57 Vice Chairmen and 57 Secretaries have decided to write an open letter to our amiable President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his intervention after writing several letters to  our Governor, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun on the non payment of our severance package and other allowances in which have proven abortive. Our requests are not far fetched, we are appealing for our severance package, two months and  10 days salaries, furniture allowances. It is so painful that in the history of Ogun State, our set is the only one denied Severance Package and furniture allowances. We are  calling for the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu into this matter, some of ur colleagues are dying,  some are not in good health and some really need the  money for business and we believe the money is our constitutional right, the president should please help us to talk to our Governor to direct the payment of our  severance package and other allowances.  We have met with the Governor concerning the issue and he has made several promises to pay us but since then, we have not heard anything from him. We are loyal APC party members and we have contributed to the progress of this great party in the state, we do promote the party. We will be happy if the issue  is resolved on time sir. The statement concluded
