The Chairman, Federal House of Representatives’ Committee on Rural Development in the 8th National Assembly and a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, Hon. (Dr.) Oladipupo Adebutu, has sent his warm words of condolence to the entire family of Chief Edward Kayode Oke (EKO), members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and indeed, the entire political class in Ipokia Local Government on the transition of late Chief Oke to eternal glory on thursday, 5th November, 2020.

Adebutu, in a condolence message made available to the Press on Monday, 9th November, 2020 by his Media Consultant, Afolabi Orekoya, described the departed father and worthy leader as a very pleasant personality who lived a worthy life of quality service to the socio-political development of Ogun State, both as a Member of the Ogun House of Assembly (1979-1983) and Chairman, Ipokia Local Government (2003-2007).

Adebutu also said “EKO’s glorious transition at this crucial stage when his pool of wisdom, soothing prayers and wise counsels are mostly needed is really devastating. In his words “I encourage you, my dear people of Ipokia Local Government, particularly, the Oke family to thank God for the grace baba enjoyed to have attained the ripe age and then passed on gloriously”.

He also encouraged the family to take solace in the fact that baba has gone with the saints after living an impactful life of remarkable service to humanity and that the legacies baba left with them should not be allowed to rotten.

Adebutu prayed Almighty God grant EKO eternal rest and give the family all the strength to cope with his demise.
