The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Defence, Ambassador Gabriel Tanimu Aduda, has formally retired from the Federal Civil Service after twenty-two (22) years of dedicated and meritorious service to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. His career, which spanned across various ministries, culminated in his stewardship at the Ministry of Defence, where he provided exemplary leadership, commitment, and innovation in advancing the mandate of the institution.

In his farewell message to staff, Amb. Aduda expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God and deep appreciation to colleagues for their cooperation and support throughout his years of service. He described his journey in the Federal Civil Service as both an honour and a privilege, noting that the opportunity to contribute to nation-building at different levels has been a source of great fulfillment.

The retired Permanent Secretary urged serving officers to remain steadfast in their pursuit of excellence, stressing that the responsibilities before them are demanding but equally opportunities to shape Nigeria’s future. He encouraged staff to uphold the ideals of teamwork, integrity, and patriotism, which remain the hallmarks of effective public service.

Ambassador Aduda concluded by charging his colleagues to continue rendering selfless service to the nation with the fear of God, reminding them that “whatever we sow, we shall surely reap.” He extended warm regards to all staff of theg Ministry of Defence, while pledging his continued support to the cause of national development even in retirement.

Furthermore , he handed over the affairs of the Ministry to the Director Army Affairs Department, Dr SM Attah as the acting Permanent Secretary.
