The Ogun State High Court has reversed the installation of Alexander Macgregor as the Olu of Ilawo, declaring the process illegal. The judge, Justice Olatokunbo Majekodunmi in her ruling on Tuesday, ordered Macgregor to stop parading himself as the Olu of Orile Ilawo monarch, in Ogun State pending the determination of the suit against the processes that led to his nomination. The Federal Government has announced the renaming of the University of Abuja (UniAbuja) to Yakubu Gowon University. Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, revealed the decision to State House correspondents on Monday after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by President Bola Tinubu on Monday. LAGOS – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Monday, announced that it has arrested 792 suspected internet fraudsters during a major sting operation in Lagos State. This was disclosed by the EFCC Director of Information, Wilson Uwujaren, at a press conference in Lagos. Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command has warned against indiscriminate bush burning to avoid the consequences. The state commandant, Akinsola Aderemi, condemned the act when the state’s acting controller of Federal Fire Service, Juliet Onyendi, paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Umuahia.
