The immediate past Governor of Ogun State and the present Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, CON, FCA, has concluded preparations to percentage Covid 19 food Palliatives packages across Ogun State.
According to the media aide of the former Governor, Mr Bola Adeyemi, ” the food packages consisting of rice, garri, noodles, vegetables oil have been packaged to reach the 3,210 Polling Unit areas in Ogun State.” The aide also said “critical stakeholders would also be reached through their respective leaders in an orderly manner throughout the state.”
The aide further said that “the distribution of the palliatives is APOLITICAL and efforts have been put in place to achieve the desired objectives.” “We hereby implore our people particularly those who are in needs and the vulnerable to await the delivery of the palliatives in their respective polling unit areas with effect from Thursday, 9th of April 2020”
Senator Ibikunle Amosun also “appeal to the expected beneficiaries of these palliatives to maintain Government regulations on social distancing and orderliness in the distribution of the packages throughout the state”
According to the statement, Amosun fervently pray “that Almighty God, in his infinite mercy would keep us safe from Covid-19 in Ogun State, Nigeria and indeed the world.”
