Following the rich legacy of impactful female political leaders in Lagos State, Mrs. Zansi Omolara Samuel has emerged as the definitive choice to champion the cause of women, professionals, and the diaspora community in executive governance.
Mrs. Zansi’s formidable professional background sets her apart. After earning her National Certificate in Education (NCE) at the Lagos State College of Education, Ijanikin (Oto Awori), she excelled as an Administrative Officer at the prestigious Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON). Seeking further development, she proceeded to the University of East London, UK, to study Health and Social Care, subsequently building an enviable career as an elite consultant for the United Kingdom’s National Health Service (NHS).
Crucially, her time in the UK was not spent detached from home; she was an active ambassador in the diaspora, representing the progressive party at all levels in both the UK and Nigeria. Her political acumen was further sharpened through years of working hand-in-hand with the legendary, late APC National Woman Leader, Chief (Mrs.) Kemi Nelson.
Having contested for the Lagos State House of Assembly twice in Badagry, Mrs. Zansi possesses the electoral grit, executive experience, and global exposure required to design modern health, social care, and human capital policies for over 20 million Lagosians, positioning her as the most complete technocrat-politician for the Deputy Governor seat.
