

As the 38th Lisabi Day festival comes to the grand finale , the Asiwaju Leragun Egba, Chief Toyin Amuzu,TA has called on Egba sons and daughters to remember their humble beginnings and ensure the development of their homestead.
In a message, Chief Amuzu encouraged the Egba people to stay connected to their community and continue to promote their rich cultural heritage.
According to Chief Amuzu, “the Lisabi Day festival, now in its 38th year, serves as a testament to the resilience and unity of the Egba people.”

“The celebration honors Lisabi Agbongbo Akala, a revered warrior who liberated the Egba people from Oyo Empire’s rule in the 18th century.”
Chief Amuzu in his message “commend the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, HRM Oba Dr. Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, for his tireless efforts in promoting Egba’s cultural heritage,”.
The Egba born tradition leader said. “We pray for the continued prosperity and unity of Egba Kingdom, and we urge all Egba sons and daughters to remain committed to our shared values and traditions.”
