El Clásico to Air Live on GOtv as Barcelona, Madrid Clash

Barcelona host Real Madrid on Sunday in the fourth and final El Clásico of the season. The world’s biggest club game in league football, to be broadcast live on GOtv, will feature a resurgent Barcelona and an out-of-sorts Madrid..

Hansi Flick’s Barcelona have been one of Europe’s standout teams in 2025. Despite their dramatic 7–6 aggregate loss to Inter Milan in the Champions League semi-finals, they’ve stunned critics with a campaign powered not by star signings but by a resurgent La Masia. With just one key addition this season, Flick has relied on academy talents like Lamine Yamal, Fermín López and Pau Cubarsí to guide Barça to the Copa del Rey title and the top of La Liga with just three matches left.

Sunday’s match offers the chance to complete a rare season sweep over their fiercest rivals. Barcelona have already beaten Madrid three times this term: 4–0 in the first league meeting (also shown live on GOtv), 5–2 in the Spanish Super Cup, and 3–2 in the Copa del Rey. A fourth win would not only underline their dominance but tighten their grip on the La Liga title.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, are second on the LaLiga table, four points behind Barcelona, and in danger of finishing the season trophyless. Despite the high-profile arrival of Kylian Mbappé last summer, Carlo Ancelotti’s side have been inconsistent. Tactical, lapses in big games, and a reliance on individual moments have left them chasing shadows in key matches.

Their challenges are compounded by a string of injuries. Antonio Rüdiger, David Alaba, and Ferland Mendy are all unavailable, while Rodrygo faces a late fitness test. For Barcelona, Jules Koundé is out, and Alejandro Balde remains doubtful after missing the midweek tie.

Although the title won’t be decided on Sunday, the psychological stakes are high. Catch live on Channel 62, SS La Liga at 3:15 pm. For Barcelona, a win would bring them within touching distance of a historic league title and cap a near-perfect domestic season. For Madrid, it’s a chance to restore some pride and potentially steal the title.
