

LAGOS — A fire incident occurred at Afriland Towers on Broad Street, Lagos Island, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. According to Afriland Properties, emergency services responded promptly and successfully contained the blaze.
In a statement issued by the company, Afriland Properties confirmed that the fire was reported to the Federal Fire Service, Lagos State Fire Service, and other emergency responders. “The fire coordination and response efforts were effective in minimizing damage and ensuring safety,” the statement read.
The company noted that the building was occupied at the time of the incident and that “initial reports indicate no injuries.” An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the fire.
