

ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has officially opened its 2026 recruitment exercise, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for vacancies across its officer, marshal inspectorate, and road marshal assistant cadres.
According to an official notice signed by the Deputy Corps Marshal and Head of Administration and Human Resources, Pauline Olaye, on behalf of the Corps Marshal, the application window opened today, Friday, July 3, 2026. Online applications will be accepted through the corps’ official portal at https://recruitment.frsc.gov.ng for a period of four weeks.
The FRSC emphasized that the recruitment process is completely free of charge and warned applicants to be wary of fraudsters.
The available positions and specific entry requirements are structured into three distinct categories:


- Officer Cadre: This includes roles for Superintendent Route Commanders, Route Commanders/Deputy Route Commanders, and Assistant Route Commanders. It is open to graduates with B.Sc., B.A., or HND qualifications, as well as professionals including medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, medical laboratory scientists, lawyers, and engineers. Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Marshal Inspectorate Cadre: This category targets applicants aged 18 to 30 who hold NCE, ND/OND, Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife certificates, or Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) qualifications.
- Road Marshal Assistant Cadre: Open to candidates with a minimum of three credits in SSCE, including English Language and Mathematics. This cadre also accepts artisans and drivers—such as mechanics, electricians, tailors, and computer operators—possessing relevant trade test certificates and valid licenses. Articulated and tow-truck drivers applying for this category must be between 26 and 40 years old.
In addition to academic and professional qualifications, the FRSC outlined strict statutory physical and personal requirements. All applicants must be Nigerian by birth, single, medically fit, computer literate, and free of any criminal record or financial indebtedness.
Physical fitness benchmarks require male applicants to be at least 1.65 meters tall, while female applicants must measure at least 1.58 meters. The corps further specified that applicants must not have tattoos on any part of their bodies, and explicitly advised pregnant women against participating in the exercise.
The notice clarified that all certificates and qualifications must be declared upfront during the online registration process, as any credentials omitted at this stage will not be recognized for future career promotion within the service.
Prospective candidates are instructed to complete their registration online by visiting https://recruitment.frsc.gov.ng. Applicants will be required to input verified data, including their National Identification Number (NIN), contact information, and physical measurements, before submitting their draft application and completing an email confirmation.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to print out copies of their completed application forms and present them at designated physical screening venues. The corps has advised members of the public to use the toll-free number 122 for official inquiries regarding the ongoing recruitment.
