Hon. Segun Kaka Lauds Abiodun’s Visionary Leadership, Talks about his Constituency’s progress

In a recent interview in Abeokuta with the Executive members of Federated Chapel of Ogun NUJ led by Comrade Juwon Opayemi, Hon. Segun Kaka, a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing the Ijebu North State Constituency II, praised the state governor’s remarkable achievements and visionary leadership. Hon. Kaka highlighted the governor’s unwavering commitment to developing the state’s infrastructure and empowering its youth, noting that the media has not adequately highlighted these accomplishments.

The lawmaker highlighted several key projects, embarked on by the Governor, he also commended the governor’s initiatives in the agricultural sector, particularly the introduction of long grain rice production, which he said is a game-changer in the region. “We are witnessing the establishment of industrial farms and farm clusters, which are transforming the agricultural landscape and positioning Ogun State as a leader in this field.”

Furthermore, Hon. Kaka highlighted the governor’s efforts in civil service management, including salary increases and procedural improvements, which have contributed to increased public satisfaction and economic stability.

Outlining the governor’s vision, Hon. Kaka stated, “The governor’s goal is to create a system that accommodates both the rich and the medium-income citizens, ensuring that everyone has a fair opportunity to thrive.” He praised the legislative efforts to rebuild and improve the system, which have led to the emergence of new millionaires and a more inclusive economic landscape.

Hon. Kaka’s achievements in a year within his constituency are equally impressive. He has spearheaded numerous water projects, including the construction and rehabilitation of boreholes in Oru Ijebu and Mamu Ijebu. In commerce, he donated ₦500,000 to initiate a traders’ money rotation scheme among market women in Awa.

In the realm of electricity and illumination, Hon. Kaka facilitated the installation of a 500kVA/11 transformer and street lighting projects in various communities. He has also supported cultural celebrations by facilitating and donating funds for events like Awa Day, Ago-Iwoye Day, and Oru Day.

During the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year celebrations, Hon. Kaka disbursed millions of naira to various groups and distributed many bags of rice across the Ifelodun constituency. To cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal, he provided food palliatives, including rice, beans, garri, spaghetti, Semovita, and Indomie noodles.

Hon. Kaka has invested in community and rural road grading, procuring a D6R bulldozer worth ₦42 million and sponsoring road grading projects. In education, he facilitated admissions for students into higher education institutions and secured employment opportunities for his constituents.

Additionally, Hon. Kaka has provided financial support through weekly stipends and grants, and sponsored healthcare initiatives, including free tests, screenings, and surgeries. His efforts have significantly impacted the lives of his constituents, demonstrating his commitment to their well-being and development.
