It was a rousing welcome and home-coming as the 2023 House of representatives Candidate of the PDP in Abeokuta South, Chief Oluwatoyin Anthony Amuzu registers in ward 12 igbehin, his maternal homestead.

The Lashoju family from which Toyin Amuzu’s mother, a twin was given birth to was represented by Mr Toyin Lashoju and other family members, who expressed their readiness to support their son and brother, the Leragun Igbehin, Chief Toyin Amuzu.

He said it is a great thing for Igbehin sons and daughters to aspire for such great position.

He also said, TA as he is fondly called has been a shining light for the family, praying that his light would never go dim.

Mama Shodipo also corroborated his words as she is married to the family, reffering to Mr Toyin Lashoju as ‘Baba Oko’.

What was meant to be a simple registration actually turned a funfare as the igbehin community Chiefs, party leaders, party faithfuls, residents, supporters and well wishers joined to celebrate Chief Toyin Amuzu who is the Asiwaju Leragun Egba and the Leragun Igbehin.

Chief Toyin Amuzu in a short remark thanked all the political leaders, Igbehin Chiefs and everybody for the great show of love.

He said, “for him, politics is not a do or die affair especially when he has a second address, stressing that his interest in politics was borne out of the need to see his people happy and see a better society

“How can I leave and forsake my people and family? People spreading false narratives all know the truth. If some people think lieing and running campaign of calumny would give them victory, I am not for that. I’m more corncened about the wellbeing of my people”.
