Isonyin Grammar School, Isonyin in Ijebu North East Local Government Area of Ogun State, will celebrate its 70th Founder’s Day Anniversary with a week-long programme of activities scheduled to hold from Monday, 23rd March to Sunday, 29th March 2026.

Established on 23rd March 1956, the school has, over the past seven decades, built a reputation for academic excellence, discipline, and character development, producing generations of distinguished alumni who have made meaningful contributions to national development in diverse fields including education, medicine, law, engineering, public service, business, media, and community leadership.

The anniversary celebration is themed “Celebrating 70 Years of Impactful and Enduring Legacy in Education.”

Activities marking the historic milestone will begin on Monday, 23rd March 2026 with a Press Conference, followed by Students’ Cultural Performances and the Feting of Students and Staff.

On Friday, 27th March 2026, there will be a Roadshow within Isonyin and neighbouring communities, a Jumat Service, and an Anniversary Lecture aimed at reflecting on the school’s legacy and discussing pathways for strengthening the future of education.

The celebration will continue on Saturday, 28th March 2026 with the Commissioning of Projects, Awards Ceremony to honour distinguished alumni and supporters of the school, and a Reception. The colour code for all these activities are all shades of blue.

The anniversary activities will climax on Sunday, 29th March 2026 with a Thanksgiving Service at Emmanuel Anglican Church, Isonyin, where Alumni and guests are expected to be on white clothes.

The celebration is expected to attract distinguished alumni, traditional rulers, community leaders, government officials, education stakeholders, corporate partners, students, and friends of the institution from across Nigeria and beyond.

According to the organisers, the anniversary provides an opportunity not only to celebrate the rich history of the institution but also to mobilise support for the rehabilitation and development of critical infrastructure within the school, which has served the community and the nation for decades.

The Planning Committee has therefore called on alumni, stakeholders, and friends of the school to participate actively in the activities and contribute to sustaining the legacy of the institution.

Members of the public are warmly invited to join in celebrating seven decades of excellence, discipline, and enduring legacy.

Isonyin Grammar School… Still Soaring @ 70.
