Today, we are celebrating the 80th birthday of our legend, a political educator, philosopher, an erudite scholar, knowledgeable, well informed, cultured, civilized and a symbol of intellectualism.
Senator Jubril Martins-Kuye, OFR, is a former Minister of State for Finance and Minister of Commerce and Industry, and the only Ijebu son that served twice in the Federal Executive Council.
J.M.K is an effective political leader which leadership style focuses on coalition and building. A communicator per excellence, an organizer, a political strategist of no equal. J.M.K’s Intellectual drive and Knowledge combined with his humility is first in excellence and top quality.
As a student of politics, I am privileged to have benefited from his political education through the tutilage of Senator Lekan Mustapha, Rt. Hon. Segun Adekoya (Attacker) and Mogaji Dele Ajayi. To us in Ifelodun State Constituency, Ijebu North and Ogun state as a whole, J.M.K is an encyclopedia of politics which eventually earned him the titles of “The Leading-Leader” and “The godfather of Ogun state politics.
It is therefore, on this momentous occasion of Baba’s 80th birthday, I join the good people of Ago Iwoye, Oru/Awa/Ilaporu, Ijèbu North at large, Ogun State and other well meaning Nigerians to congratulate the Aare Musulumi of Ogun state, Asiwaju of Ago Iwoye, Otunba Fesojoye of Ijebuland and the political leading leader of Ogun state a gracefully 80th birthday. Happy birthday and many more prosperous and healthy years ahead sir.
