In her welcome speech, Hon. Dr. Princess ‘Ronke Ogunremi, who also doubles as the President of the Organisation mentioned the roles of women in politics to be coordinating of cells, encouraging fellow women to take part in the political running of Nigeria and Ogun State, as the roles of women cannot be wished away. Delivering a paper, Akogun Kola Onadipe highlighted INFLUENCE as a major factor in politics. He revealed that so many people including friends, acquaintances and indeed foes describes women in politics as set of useless and unworthy set of people, this of course is a mis-interpretation of what the women in politics truly represents.
