

Chairman of the Ogun State Football Association and Executive Board Member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi, has commended the participating teams in this year’s Bet9ja U19 Ogun State League for their competitive spirit and professionalism.
Speaking with the Ogun FA media team, Alhaji Majekodunmi praised the level of play exhibited so far across different centres in the state, noting that the passion and discipline shown by the young players have been impressive.
“I must commend the teams for the high level of competition and professionalism displayed so far in this tournament. The discipline and commitment are commendable. I urge all the teams to continue with the same passion and dedication with which they started,” he said.
He also acknowledged the efforts of the match officials, describing their performance as top-notch. “The referees and officials have been doing a great job. Their handling of the matches has been fair and consistent, and that’s what we expect at this level of football development,” Majekodunmi added.


Meanwhile, the action on Day 7 of the ongoing Bet9ja U19 League saw some exciting results. Emirate 1609 FC delivered a resounding 4-1 victory over Samba Boys FC at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, in another fixture, VSO FA defeated Mission Soccer FA 3-1.
The competition is set to continue this Saturday at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta, with more thrilling fixtures lined up. Castmog FC will take on D Peace FA, Benson Phoenix FC will lock horns with Rising Stars FC, while Achievers FC will face Talented Boys FC in what promises to be another exciting day of grassroots football.
