

Officers of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, otherwise known as So-Safe Corps, have arrested a 26-year old suspect, Abdulrasheed Ibrahim for stealing aluminum and electrical wires, last week Wednesday.
So-Safe Corps is an Ogun State Government Security and Safety Agency.
In a statement released from the Office of the Corps Commander, Dr. Soji Ganzallo, and signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, stated that the suspect was arrested on Wednesday, 12th June, 2025, in the early hours of 2.00am, while the corps were on routine patrol.
According to the statement, the officers who were attached to the Iyesi Area Command, sighted the suspect believed to be a scavenger in possession of the stolen aluminium and electrical wires.


Commander Ganzallo, while giving further details on the arrest, explained that after a professional and coordinated assessment, the suspect was questioned on how he came into possession of the items. However, he allegedly failed to provide a satisfactory explanation and could not prove ownership of the items.
During preliminary interrogation, the suspect, who resides at Obasanjo Power Line, admitted to vandalizing a house located behind the Winners Chapel fence. He also confessed to having been arrested on four previous occasions for similar crimes.
Dr. Ganzallo stated that the suspect and the recovered exhibits have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Onipanu Divisional Headquarters, for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The Commander assured that the relative peace and security currently being enjoyed across the state will not be compromised. He reiterated that no stone will be left unturned in ensuring the safety of lives and property in Ogun State.
