It’s heartwarming how our heroes past had laboured before what we know as Christian religion was established and sustained even in most remote areas in Africa. Miss Ruth as been knowned, a citizen of Britain encounters one of her protegees who long to see her again, read the excerpt below to feel the awesome moments of his visit:

Courtesy and check-up visit to Sister Ruth Elton earlier today in my land of birth and preparation – Ilesa, Osun State.
She’s about turning 90..a tear dropped from my eyes ‘cause she could hardly recognize me anymore. Sense of hearing and speech almost gone but the two sentences that never leaves her lips are:
 “The King is Coming”,
“The Kingdom is coming”

NOTES ABOUT SIS. RUTH
📍The only daughter of Rev S.G Elton – a. British missionary and patriarch of faith In Nigeria who lived all his life in Ilesa, Nigeria, died and was buried here with his wife.
📍Sis Ruth was brought to Nigeria at age 2.
📍Became a missionary like her father.
📍Spent her active missionary years among the Igala, Ebira tribes of Kotonkarfe in present day Kogi State.
📍Denounced her British citizenship to take up Nigerian.
📍Never married and neither bore children but raised many children which includes a past governor of Kogi State – a Muslim boy she took off the streets at age 6.
📍Speaks Yoruba, pidgin, Hausa, Ebira, Igala and ibo languages fluently…
📍Devoted her life completely for the Lord in the fields of Africa.
📍Presently lives in Ilesa- Osun State where she’s expecting the coming of her Saviour.

The labor of our forbears over this land will not go to waste. We will rise and defend it.
