PDP Chieftain Warns Trouble Makers Ahead of Congress, Embraces Brother, Chief Toyin Amuzu
Share0Abeokuta – As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) prepares to hold its Congress on Saturday, tomorrow, Otunba Segun Sowunmi, a chieftain and leader of the party in Ogun State, has issued a stern warning to potential trouble makers.
He stated that anyone attempting to disrupt the Congress would face the full force of the law, with law enforcement agencies on hand to arrest and prosecute offenders.
Sowunmi made this declaration during a courtesy visit by Chief Toyin Amuzu, TA, at his Abeokuta residence.
He appealed to party members to conduct themselves peacefully and allow the Congress to proceed without any negative incident.
In a surprising turn of events, Sowunmi revealed a familial connection with Amuzu, stating that he had always referred to Amuzu’s mother as “Big Mummy” in the UK.
He fondly recalled his close relationship with another family member, Mr. Tokunbo Odebunmi, founder of the popular Obalende Suya in the UK, who is an Uncle to Chief Amuzu.
Sowunmi praised Amuzu’s contributions to Egbaland and pledged support for his brother’s future ambitions, including a potential 2027 contest.
Chief Amuzu expressed gratitude for Sowunmi’s kind words and promised not to disappoint the family.
The Congress is expected to proceed peacefully, with party members and leaders committed to a smooth and successful event.
