Police arrests wanted cultist for terrorizing Ogun border residents

The Ogun State Police Command operatives have arrested 35-year-old suspected cultist, Olamilekan Akojede, in Oja-Odan, a border town in Yewa-North local government area of the state.

Making this known, the command’s spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, on Saturday, confirmed the arrest of the suspect, who is a leader of cult gang known as Alora, and has been on the command’s watch list for some time now.

She added that Akojede, no.1 Alora, known for terrorizing and causing panic in the border community with his gang was picked up at about 1430hrs on Friday, 16th August, 2024 and have been be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Elewe-Eran, Abeokuta for discreet investigation.

Odutola, also reiterated the command’s commitment towards eradicating cultism from the state, while urging other cult members to borrow a new leaf and change for the betterment of the society.
