As part of its consumer-centricity, Rite Foods Limited, Nigeria’s leading food and beverage company, through its Bigi Beef and Rite Spicy beef Sausage rolls brand, doles out wonderful prizes and freebies to winners of its Rite Recycle 2.0 online initiative, which involves the creativity in using the recycled wraps of the company’s sausages for artistic work.

The overall winner, Ojevwe Esther Onomigbo, and first runner-up, Giwa Progress Jesutomiwa, were gifted N100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) and N70,000 (Seventy Thousand Naira) respectively including packs of Rite Sausage rolls, movie tickets, and an adventure to upbeats each.

The third position, a tie, was clinched by Abidoye Oladimeji and Esther Ufot Ubak with cash prizes of N50,000, two packs of Rite Sausage rolls, two movie tickets, and an adventure with Rite Foods, while the remaining six got a consolation prize money of N20,000 each alongside other fantastic gift items and an adventure with Rite Foods, at a presentation held at the company’s head office in Lagos on Friday, 15th December, 2023.

The winner, who used her ingenuity in recycling and as a multidisciplinary artistic talent to create a portrait got everyone amazed with applause for her skills in using the recycled wraps of the company’s sausage brands for the wonderful artwork.

Giwa, a visual artist who also demonstrated his innovativeness in his art, used the wraps of the company’s sausage brands to create another portrait.

While extolling the innovation of the artist, the Assistant Brand Manager, Rite Sausages, Olawale Odenusi said Rite Recycle 2.0 was aimed at connecting with consumers and giving creatives the opportunity to unleash the bull through recycling initiatives and get rewarded for it.

He said the outcome of the competition shows how skills can be transformed into meaningful ventures through recycling, as depicted by the participants.

Commending Rite Foods Limited for the gift, Ojevwe said it was a great pleasure for her to create a portrait of s great entrepreneur, who has positively impacted lives through his company, and that the inspiration behind her work is to sell out the idea that art can be made from anything, even wraps of sausage rolls. “The idea of trash to treasure is my inspiration.” She affirmed.

Giwa, on his part, said his work is a stepping stone to do something great, and thanked the company for the opportunity offered in that regard for bringing out the flair in him.
