Rite Foods Limited, through its flagship fruit drink brand Sosa Fruit Juice, has announced a strategic partnership with the Dolphin Swimming League to host this year’s Swimming Competition, a bold initiative that reflects the company’s commitment to youth development, education, and community development.

The Dolphin Swimming League, now in its seventh season, is the first private school swimming tournament in Nigeria, including primary and secondary schools. It is organised by Dynaspro Promotion Limited, with technical support from the Lagos State Swimming Association and the Aquatics Federation of Nigeria. Over the years, the league has produced swimmers that went on to represent the country at the junior level in the region, on the continent, and even at the World Junior Championships.

Speaking at the media briefing, Ruth Mark, Brand Manager for Sosa, said the partnership emphasises Sosa’s vision for a brighter future. “Sosa believes in the family unit. The brand is for the father, mother, and children. This partnership is a strategic one for Sosa; it is focused on investing in children through the Dolphin Swimming League,” she said.

Also highlighting the significance of the partnership, Olukemi Ogunsakin, Corporate Communications Manager, Rite Foods, described the Dolphin Swimming League as an investment in Nigerian talent. She explained that the initiative aligns directly with two pillars of Rite Foods’ EYEC sustainability framework, Youth Empowerment and Education, positioning the league as a world-class sporting platform that will elevate Nigeria’s presence on the global stage. “At Rite Foods, we believe in education, promoting sustainability, and investing in youth development for a better tomorrow,” she stated.

Mr. Oyebode Oluseyi, a sports enthusiast and Coordinator, commended Rite Foods for stepping in with its Sosa brand to support grassroots sports. Moving from a fringe supporter to a true partner. He noted that the Dolphin Swimming League, which started in 2017, recently produced 19 gold medalists at the Lagos Sports Festival, a clear testament to its capacity to nurture future champions.

“This league started with just four editions and has now grown to eight. For the first time, we’re introducing long-course races of 200m–400m. With Sosa’s support, we are confident the future is bright, and we envision our students becoming Olympians,” Oluseyi remarked. He further urged that the league receive the same level of recognition and investment as cultural platforms like Nigerian Idol.

Already invited to expand to Ibadan, the Dolphin Swimming League is also planning the launch of the South-West Dolphin League. With Sosa’s partnership, the vision is clear: to build a sustainable pipeline of swimming champions who will elevate Nigeria’s sporting reputation internationally.

Reaffirming its passion for sports, education, youth empowerment, and sustainability, the Sosa brand pledged to continue creating opportunities that leave a lasting impact in Nigeria and beyond.
