Satguru Maharaj Ji, founder of the One Love Family, has issued a strongly worded statement criticizing activist and politician Omoyele Sowore over his recent comments describing President Bola Tinubu as a criminal. In the statement titled “Sowore’s Political Infancy and Moral Rough-Ride – That President Tinubu Is a Criminal Is Unacceptable,” Maharaj Ji declared, “It is absolutely wrong to call the Head Of State a criminal. Sowore has a case to answer.” Leadership
The spiritual leader described Sowore’s recent arrest by the Nigeria Police as “yet another opportunity for him to learn the right lesson about Nigeria’s political and general leadership situation.” He urged Nigerians, particularly those “of Sowore’s emotional disposition,” to be “more circumspect than reactionary to the goings-on in Nigeria.”
Maharaj Ji argued that Nigeria’s political actors are being manipulated by foreign powers. “The entire members of the club of political actors in Nigeria are being manipulated by the same European and Arab forces who set Nigeria up failed,” he said, adding that Sowore’s political approach has been “indirectly told by the ballot” to be “less than popular and ineffective.”
He criticized Sowore’s activism, including his recent protest demanding the release of Nnamdi Kanu, describing it as “contempt of court.” Maharaj Ji stated, “The rightness or wrongness of the ongoing court process is secondary.”

Referring to himself as “The Spiritual Father of mankind manifest in human flesh as a Nigeria,” Maharaj Ji said it is his duty to “relentlessly provide critical education on matters arising and delicate.” He warned Sowore and his supporters that “Nnamdi Kanu’s case is far bigger than their embryonic capacity.”
He alleged that international forces are behind Nigeria’s challenges, stating, “Britain abhors the idea of rebelling against the tortuously extractive system it has planted in Nigeria for its continuous enrichment at Nigeria’s expense.” He added, “America… does not want a free and prosperous Nigeria.”
Maharaj Ji also questioned why Britain has not demanded Kanu’s release, despite his British citizenship. He described Nigeria’s colonial architecture as “a complex design in systemic and trans-generational evil.”
On Sowore’s political conduct, Maharaj Ji said, “Sowore’s stubborn exuberance against the system that gets him calling Mr. President and other government officials dirty names cannot solve Nigeria’s colossal and mangled problems.” He advised Sowore to focus on “the welfare of his American family” or seek “Divine Knowledge” to understand Nigeria’s deeper spiritual challenges.
“He should tell us why the President is a criminal to avoid being dealt with the arms of the law as a deterrence for others who might toe the line of disregard for the rule of law.”
