The Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa has been described as a special being who stands out among his peers.
The statement was made by the Head of Local Government Administration, Ewekoro Local Government, Engineer Ayoade A.A. during the special birthday party, organised by the management in conjunction with the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Ewekoro branch ,led by Comrade Abdulsalam Ibrahim Olaseni at the chairman’s office.
According to Engineer Ayoade, ” We are celebrating our Chairman because he is good, exceptional. I will be an ingrate if I refuse to say this publicly everytime that the Chairman is exceptional.”
” If you you have twenty people and one is outstanding by virtue of his relations with people and his large heart , then you say that , that kind of person is a special being, so we want to give God the glory for creating him as a special being.”—— Engr. Ayoade affirmed .
” We appreciate you sir, the Heads of various departments, every staff of Ewekoro Local Government because we are happy to work with you. There are some you can’t pray to work with but we are happy working with our Chairman and we’re saying it publicly.” —– Engineer Ayoade added.
Speaking, the Director of Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation, Sanitarian Badejoko A. T. expressed his gratitude to God for having the exceptional Chairman at the helms of affairs in Ewekoro Local Government.
” We are grateful for having our amiable Chairman to work with . Every staff can testify to the chairman’s goodness. His door is open to everyone, there is no issue you bring to the chairman’s office that will not be solved.”— Badejoko said.
He then rounded off his speech by praying for Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa that after his tenure as the Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, the future celebrations will be for the appointments at the state and elevation to the Federal levels.
In his own contributions, the Director of Education, Information and Sports, Mr. Olopade Sakiru, commended Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa for his commitment towards workers welfare and show of enormous love to the people of the council area.
Mr. Olopade, described the Chairman as a goal getter who does not believe in impossibility in the quest to ensure that people of the council area enjoy the dividends of democracy that know no bounds.
The Vice chairman, Hon Olabode Sunkanmi Adegoke who spoke on behalf of the political functionaries referred to Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa as a selfless person who ensure fair play among his people.
Hon Adegoke reiterated that unlike in many other local governments, the relationship among political functionaries have been very cordial between the executive arm and the legislative arm of Ewekoro Local Government.
He equally thanked members of staff of the council, for their commitment and unwavering support for the present administration , led by Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa.
In his vote of thanks, the birthday celebrant, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa expressed his appreciation to the Head of Local Government Administration , Heads of various departments and staffers of Ewekoro Local Government for the surprised birthday party .
” In a special way, i want to sincerely appreciate the NULGE Executives for the display of maturity in solving issues with the management. ” —- the Chairman said.
” I have been in the local government on two occasions to serve in different capacities, before becoming the Executive Chairman, mostly the NULGE and the Executive Chairmen are always at loggerheads but our own case is different.”—– Hon Adesina said emphatically.
His words: ” The fact that the little that I do , people do appreciate , serves as motivation for me to do more while returning the glory to God for giving me the opportunity to serve my people and it has always been a thing of joy for me to assist people at any given opportunity.
However, to the surprise of the council workforce who besieged his office for the birthday celebration, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa announced that he would pay the New Year bonus, not minding the financial position of the council while disclosing that arrangements are in top gear to refund the examination fee of the conversion candidates into other cadres in Ewekoro Local Government.
The high point of the event was the cutting of the commemorative cake and presentation of gifts to the Chairman.
Same day, the birthday party train moved to the Council’s Conference room. It was the turn of the Ewekoro Local Government Zonal Community Development Committee and members of the National Women In Council of Nigeria ( NWCN) , Ewekoro Local Government Chapter to celebrate the Executive Chairman, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa in recognition of his sterling performance as the council Chairman.
Speaking at the event, the Zonal Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government Community Development Committee, Comrade Olusegun Oke , disclosed that the birthday party was organized to rejoice with the man of the people and to commit his 2nd term ambition in the hands of God through interdenominational prayer session .
According to Comrade Oke , ” I have never seen any better Chairman than Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa as far as given unalloyed support to the Zonal Community Development Committee. No wonder , Ewekoro Local Government CDC was ranked the best in Ogun Central.”—- Comrade Oke revealed.
” I want to put it on record that ever since the creation of Ewekoro Local Government, CDC has never had it so good except for during this present administration of Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa.” — He added.
Other dignitaries who witnessed the event , spoke glowingly about Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa’s impeccable character and his immense contributions to the development of Ewekoro Local Government in all ramifications.
In his response, the Executive Chairman, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa, expressed his immeasurable gratitude to the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for giving him the opportunity to serve in that capacity, according to the Chairman, ” If i had been denied of the opportunity, i won’t have the grace to serve my people at this level.”
” Most people do believe that the “seat of leadership” tends to change people’s character but I thank God, who have been assisting me to remain”who i am” without being overwhelmed with my current position as the Chairman “— Hon Adesina explained.
The local government boss, therefore, promised that he would remain committed to the course of the development of Ewekoro Local Government and ensure better and meaningful lives for the Council’s citizenries.
Earlier, on Thursday, 23 November, 2023, political associates , captains of industries, family and well wishes had besieged the residence of the Executive Chairman, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa to celebrate his birthday and prayed for him.
