The Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan (UCJ_UI), has invited students from various Nigerian universities to participate in the ongoing 7th Annual ‘Fisayo Soyombo Inter-University Essay Contest, so as to show their writing talents and expression of their thoughts on national issues.
The writing competition, is with the theme; “Igbo vs Yoruba Post-2023 Election: Can Nigerians Ever Live as One?”.
According to statement made available by the Union, which reads, “This prestigious competition invites students from various Nigerian universities to express critical thinking and showcase this in their writing prowess on pressing national issues through change-provoking essays.
“ELIGIBILITY: Must be a bonafide student of any Nigerian university institution.
“ENTRY FORMAT: Entry should contain the essay and a copy of the participant’s school ID in separate PDF files in an email; ucjunibadan@gmail.com, with the Email Subject: “FISAYO SOYOMBO ESSAY COMPETITION”.
Prizes for the winners of the competition, were also made known; First Place: N250,000 and internship placement, Second Place: N150,000 and Third Place: N100,000
