IBADAN – The whereabouts of Prince Sanusi Solomon Adesina remain unknown following the search on his house by men of anti-riot Police, Nigeria Police force, Oyo State command.

Prince Adesina, a renowned Human Right Activist is an apparent heir to the vacant stool of Alagodi of Agodi, in Ibadan North local government.

Adesina, who is also a strong member of the opposition party in Oyo State, APC was selected by the kingmakers as the next monarch for the vacant stool following the death of Oba Kehinde Okunade Sanusi in 2023.

However, the current PDP-led administration in Oyo state, was alleged not to be in support of Prince Adesina’s candidature being an opposition member.

Meanwhile, trouble started in August 2, 2024 when the #Endbadgovernance protesters stormed the streets of Ibadan and some major towns of Oyo State, demanding good governance in Nigeria.

The protest led to wanton destruction of government properties and loss of lives.

The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde launched a panel of inquiry to unravel the mastermind and sponsors of the EndBadGovernance protesters.

Surprisingly, few weeks after the inauguration of the committee, anti-riot policemen stormed the Atenda compound of Prince Adesina and searched his house.

The Oyo State government had accused Prince Adesina of conniving with sponsors of the EndBadGovernance protesters to upsurge the government.

But, the police operatives, however, took away his son, Israel Adesina and paraded among arrested protesters to the press.

Speaking to some selected journalists from his hideout on telephone interview, Prince Sanusi Adesina accused the Oyo State Government of implicating him of sponsoring the EndBadGovernance protest.

Prince Adesina maintained that, the accusation was to prevent him from becoming the royal king of his community.

He added that the accusation of sponsoring the EndBadGovernance protesters was a rise, and an attempt to silence him from ascending the throne of his forefathers.
