ABEOKUTA – In a significant boost for youth representation in Ogun State politics, The former Ogun PDP Youth Leader Mr. Oyejide Sunkanmi Kamilu, popularly known as ‘SUCO,’ has been appointed as a Senior Legislative Aide (SLA) to the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin. The appointment was made possible through Senator Solomon Olamilekan poularly known as YAYI.
Oyejide, a prominent grassroots mobilizer with over 12years experience in politics from Onisasa Village in Abeokuta North Local Government Area, receives this federal appointment following his consistent dedication to public service and political development within the state.
Oyejide’s appointment came after almost three months that he resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
The appointment is seen by many as a strategic move to integrate more vibrant, young professionals into the administrative framework of the National Assembly. As a Senior Legislative Aide, Oyejide is expected to bring his local perspective and administrative competence to the office of the Deputy Senate President, bridging the gap between federal legislative processes and grassroots interests.
