

Abeokuta, Ogun State—The highly anticipated 2nd Annual Global Yoruba History & Heritage Celebration is set to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the Cinema Hall, June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta. Organized by the Foundation for the Preservation of Yoruba Culture and Heritage, the event is expected to bring together esteemed figures from traditional, academic, and political spheres to discuss and honor Yoruba heritage.
The theme for this year’s event, “Yoruba Ti Goke Agba,” underscores the global prominence of Yoruba culture. Notable expected attendees include His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, alongside the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who will serve as Chief Host. Governors from Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti States are also slated to attend.
The day will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and cultural presentations led by distinguished guests such as Chief Yemi Elebuibon, Dr. Nike Davies Okundaye, Mr. Kunle Afolayan, and Chief Mrs. Abiodun Duro Ladipo. Additionally, revered royal fathers, including the Alake of Egbaland, the Olu of Yewaland, and the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, will grace the occasion.
