The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Ogun State Executive Committee has unanimously passed a vote of confidence on its Chairman, Otunba Dr. Femi Soluade, during a crucial meeting held at the State Secretariat on Sunday, February 22, 2026.

The motion was “formally moved by Mr. Sunday Lukmon, Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, and seconded by Prince Ajibola Adegbenro, the Assistant State Secretary.” Following robust deliberations, all members present voted overwhelmingly in support.

The meeting was well attended, with 18 Local Government Chairmen present (Ijebu Ode and Yewa North excused with permission) alongside members of the State Executive Committee. The endorsement was hailed as a demonstration of “renewed unity, strength, and collective resolve within the party across Ogun State.”

In his response, Otunba Soluade expressed “profound appreciation to the Local Government Chairmen and State Executive members for their unwavering confidence in his leadership.” He reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive leadership, transparency, and strategic mobilization across all wards and local governments.

He further emphasized that the ADC in Ogun State is “now more united than ever and firmly positioned to win all elective positions in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.”

The State Executive Committee concluded by reaffirming that the ADC in Ogun State remains “united, indivisible, and fully prepared for the tasks ahead.”
