ANWFCC set for another Women Football Competition in January

Foremost organisers of the Oldest Women Football Competition in Nigeria, the Association of Nigeria Women Football Club Coaches (ANWFCC), is set for another edition of the All Stars Women Football Competition in January, 2025.

The All Stars Women Football Competition is a grassroot duel for female footballers across the country and beyond, it is also organized to give platforms to female players within and outside Lagos to show case their football potentials for better exploits.

Speaking with the Spokesperson of the ANWFCC, Olajide Royal, who stated that the 2025 edition of the competition is going to be more superb compared to the previous ones.

According to him, “The Association executives have been seriously working for the betterment of the 2025 as it’s been promised to be a greater edition.

“Scouts have been invited from different corners of the world to be in attendance to scout for tomorrow’s Super Stars. Even Nigeria Women Premier League teams Coaches and scouts will also be on ground to see the talents and scout accordingly”

He added, “All Stars Women Football Competition has produced a lot of wonderful players for the Flamingoes, Falconets and Super Falcons and they are all doing well in their respective clubs in and outside Nigeria as well.

“ANWFCC is committed to give this platform continuously every year to the players to exhibit their football talents and locate their stardom from this opportunity”.

However, the competition will start on the 6th of January, 2025 to 18th January, 2025, while two football pitches will be used for the 2025 All Stars and those are The Hockey Pitch and Legacy Pitch respectively.

Olajide, also made it known that the competition will start with players registration, accreditation and trainings by 8am at the Hockey Pitch, while the seeding of players into the teams they will play for, take blace on Wednesday 8th January, 2025 still at the Hockey Pitch and the game will commence on Thursday 9th January, 2025 at the Legacy Pitch by 8am prompt.

The Hockey Pitch and Legacy Pitch are both situated inside the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Deutschland was the Champion for the 2024 All Stars Women Football Competition.
