The Commissioner for Forestry in Ogun State, Engr. Taiwo Oludotun is expected to perform the ceremonial kick off of the 5th edition of SWAN SECURITY Cup.
Engr. Oludotun who has been supporting the competition since inception will perform the kick off before the game involving the Nigerian Correctional Centre and the Economic Financial and Crimes Commission.
Engr. Oludotun, an exceptional leader will lead other top government officials to the MKO Abiola Sports Arena Kuto Abeokuta, venue of the competition by 12pm.
According to the LOC Chairman, the organisers are deeply honoured to have the Honourable Commissioner, Engr. Taiwo Oludotun, to grace the official kick-off of this year’s edition, which underscores the state government’s commitment to community relations and youth development through sports.
The Local Organising Committee has assured all participating agencies and spectators of a hitch-free and memorable tournament, stressing that all necessary arrangements have been put in place for a successful competition
The competition is a unique sporting initiative designed to promote unity, camaraderie, and healthy rivalry among various security and para-military agencies operating within the Gateway State.
Participating teams from security formations across the state will compete for the prestigious trophy and prize money, but more importantly, for the opportunity to strengthen inter-agency relationships.
The 5th edition of the tournament will feature several security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCOS), Ogun State Fire Service, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), among others.
