Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria, May 2025 – Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has recorded another major academic milestone with the full accreditation of 18 academic programmes by the National Universities Commission (NUC), following its October/November 2024 accreditation exercise. The confirmation of the accreditation was conveyed in a letter dated April 30, 2025, and signed by Engineer Abraham Chundusu, Acting Director of Accreditation, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the NUC. Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has promised a reward of N2.5 million for each gold medal won by the state’s athletes at the National Sports Festival kicking off on Sunday in the state. The governor also promised the sum of N1.5 million and N1 million, respectively, for each silver and bronze medal won at the competition. Leading financial institution, Fidelity Bank Plc, has reentered the trillion-naira market capitalisation club, after its share price rose by 5.3%, climbing from ₦19.95 to ₦21.00 on May 13, 2025, according to data from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).
