Share0ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – The Babaloja of Ogun State, Chief Adewale Adesina, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful in Ogun State and Nigeria at large, on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
In his message, Chief Adesina, who is also the Babalaje of Ilaro-Yewa and Chairman/CEO of Western Group, emphasized the importance of reflecting on the significance of this celebration.
In a statement released to the press and obtained by StarTrend Int’l magazine and online, Chief Adesina urged Muslims to uphold the virtues of Islam without blemish.
Fondly known as Mr. Wale Saranda, urged the Muslim community to embrace the lessons of love and sacrifice symbolized by the season and to use this special time to pray for the nation.
The statement reads in part: “I want to congratulate Muslims all over the world on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration. I also want to advise that we don’t just use the celebration to eat and drink, but to learn from Prophet Ibrahim, who surrendered to the will of the Almighty Allah by trying to sacrifice his son, Ishmael.”
Chief Adesina highlighted that Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his only son to Allah was a profound test of faith, ultimately resulting in great reward.
This, he noted, signifies that sacrifices made in good faith yield positive outcomes.
The Babaloja of Ogun State prayed that Allah grants everyone the ability to witness many more celebrations with happiness, good health, and prosperity.
