Mr. Enike Victor, CEO and President of Campus Ovation International, has issued a strong statement condemning what he described as a “defamation of character” campaign against Honorable Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairperson of the National Diaspora Commission.
In a press release made available on Thursday, Mr. Victor declared, “I wish to use this medium to strongly condemn the ongoing defamation of character against Honorable Abike Dabiri-Erewa.”
He praised Dabiri-Erewa’s leadership, describing her as “a woman of integrity, honor, and exceptional leadership,” and added that “her style of leadership is one that every political officeholder in this country should emulate.”
Victor emphasized Dabiri-Erewa’s impact on Nigerian youth, saying, “She has consistently added value to the lives of countless Nigerians, especially young people, myself included. Even without knowing you personally, she extends kindness, compassion, and support whenever she can.”

He criticized those calling for her resignation, stating, “It is therefore unacceptable that some individuals would seek to tarnish her image, call for her resignation, and spread lies against her. This is not only unfair but also a disservice to Nigeria and Nigerians at large.”
Highlighting Dabiri-Erewa’s work with Nigerians abroad, Victor said, “She has worked tirelessly for Nigerians in the diaspora, ensuring that the cries of innocent citizens who have been victimized abroad are heard and addressed. She has stood firm in defending the dignity of our people across the globe.”
Victor also addressed ethnic tensions, asserting, “Sadly, certain individuals, under the influence of division and tribal sentiments, are trying to cause confusion and hatred in this country. Let me be clear: the Igbo people are known for being loving, caring, and accommodating. Those few voices abroad do not represent the true character of our people.”
Calling for unity, he urged, “We therefore call on all Nigerians, regardless of tribe, religion, or political affiliation, to rise against any form of defamation of character targeted at our mother, Hon. Abike Dabiri.”
He concluded by appealing to authorities: “We also urge the security agencies to look into this matter and take necessary action. Enough is enough.”
Victor described Dabiri-Erewa as “a true mother of the nation,” and called on Nigerians to “shun all negativity, embrace peace, and work together for the progress of our beloved country, Nigeria.”
