The stage is set for an exciting showdown as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Deputy Zonal Director Mr Eden Akpa Uchena is expected to storm Ogun State for the 2025 Ogun SWAN Security Cup.
The tournament, organized by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ogun State Chapter, brings together major security agencies in a friendly but competitive football event aimed at fostering unity, teamwork, and physical fitness among security operatives.
This year’s edition promises to be even more captivating, with top officers from various formations including the Police, Fire Service, Civil Defence, Customs, FRSC, NCoS, and EFCC all set to compete for glory.
The presence of the EFCC Deputy Zonal Director underscores the agency’s growing commitment to community engagement beyond its core duties of financial crime enforcement. His visit is expected to motivate the EFCC team and further strengthen ties between security bodies and the media.
The competition, which will be held at the M.K.O. Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta from the 10th October to 24th October.
EFFC and Nigeria correctional services (NCoS) will face in the first game of the tournament while Nigeria customs battle with FRSC,in what looks the game of the day Defending champion NSCDC go up against Nigeria Police.
