In an exclusive interview with news men at one of the exhibition halls at the Lagos edition of GITEX Nigeria 2025, Davidson Regha, CEO of Bluecode Nigeria Payments, has lifted the lid on a groundbreaking mobile payment solution that promises to transform financial transactions across Africa.

“We provide an alternative for consumers to make payments at point of sale, instead of using traditional cards,” Rega declared boldly.

The game-changing technology embeds payment solutions directly into bank applications, allowing users to transact seamlessly. “If you have a bank account, you’re able to pay with our solution on the bank app,” Regha explained.

Highlighting the system’s versatility, he noted, “You can buy anything – from urban stores to ShopRite – just like a typical card transaction.”

Key revolutionary features include:

  • Zero annual fees
  • Complete security through bank app integration
  • Functionality in areas with poor network coverage

“Our solution is cheap, secure, and free,” Regha emphasized, positioning Blue Code as a potential catalyst for financial inclusion.

Integrated with NIBSS and operating across Nigerian banking platforms, this European-originated technology could be the payment method Africa has been waiting for.

“We are saying that this solution can be used in rural areas,” Rega concluded, signaling a potential financial transformation for millions. Regha stated.
