Hon. Olufunbi Majekodunmi has officially joined the race for the Abeokuta South Constituency 1 seat in the State House of Assembly after picking up his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat on Wednesday.
The move marks a formal step in his bid to represent the constituency, drawing a crowd of supporters to the party headquarters in a show of solidarity.
Speaking with Journalists after obtaining his form, he said:
“This is a call to service that I do not take lightly. By picking up these forms, I am making a formal pledge to the people of Abeokuta South Constituency 1 that their voices will be heard, their needs will be prioritized, and their interests will be defended at the state level.”
On his legislative focus, he said:

“Our constituency sits at the heart of our state’s capital, yet there is much to be done in terms of infrastructure and economic empowerment. My goal is to bridge the gap between the government and the grassroots, ensuring that legislative dividends are felt in every ward and every household.”
On the journey ahead, he reiterated:
“I am running on the platform of the PDP because I believe in the party’s capacity to bring about the real change our people desire. This is the beginning of a collective journey to reclaim our representation and build a more prosperous constituency for everyone.”
