

The Ogun State chapter of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) has officially announced Hon. Olujobi Ezekiel Fayoyin as its governorship candidate for the 2027 general election.
Hon. Fayoyin emerged as the party’s flagbearer following a primary election held at the NRM State Secretariat located in Oke-Ijeun, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Delegates and party executives from all the 20 local government areas of the state participated in the exercise.
The event witnessed the presence of party leaders, executives, and stakeholders across the state, who gathered to affirm their support for the emergence of the candidate ahead of the forthcoming election.
Speaking with journalists shortly after his emergence, Hon. Fayoyin expressed confidence in the ability of the NRM to reposition itself for victory in the 2027 general election. He pledged to change the political narrative in Ogun State by promoting true democracy and implementing policies that would improve the economy and the welfare of the people.


According to him, his administration would focus on using every available democratic mechanism to bring meaningful development and economic growth to the state.
Hon. Fayoyin also called on the people of Ogun State to partner with the NRM in its mission to make the dividends of democracy visible and accessible to all residents of the state.
He assured party members and supporters that the NRM remains committed to delivering transparent leadership, accountability, and people-oriented governance if elected into office in 2027.
