Abeokuta, Nigeria — The Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has unveiled plans for a three-day public forum featuring all major contenders in the forthcoming Remo Federal Constituency by-election. The announcement was contained in a press statement issued Monday by the Council’s Secretary, Comrade Bunmi Adigun.

According to Adigun, the engagement series is intended to deepen transparency and foster direct dialogue between voters and those seeking to represent them at the National Assembly.

“The Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) will host a special engagement series with candidates contesting the upcoming by-election for the Remo Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives,” the statement reads.

“The event is designed to provide a platform for open dialogue between the candidates and members of the public, as well as to promote issue-based campaigns ahead of the polls.”
