Oyo 2027: The Least Among the Finest — Why Oke Ogun Must Rally Behind Amofin Beulah Adeoye

Amofin Beulah Adeoye

As the race for Oyo 2027 gathers momentum, the air is thick with familiar tunes of ambition — Ibadan’s seasoned gladiators sharpening their rhetoric, Ogbomosho’s strategists whispering alliances, and Oke Ogun, once again, standing at a historic crossroads. For decades, the region has served as Oyo’s loyal powerhouse — delivering votes, producing food, and upholding peace — yet still waiting patiently for its turn to lead.

This time, the call is louder, the mood is clearer, and the resolve is firmer. Oke Ogun must rise, and in its rising, it must rally behind one of its own — Amofin Beulah Adeoye — the least among the finest, yet the one carrying the true torch of the people.

The Least Among the Finest

Amofin Beulah Adeoye represents a new chapter in Oke Ogun’s political evolution — humble in spirit, grounded in service, and fierce in conviction. Among the galaxy of Oke Ogun’s brightest minds and most distinguished figures, he calls himself “the least.” Yet in that humility lies the seed of greatness. History has shown repeatedly that leadership worth following is often born from the quiet strength of those who serve before they seek to rule.

The Not Too Young To Rule movement he embodies is not just a slogan; it’s a statement — that Oke Ogun’s destiny can no longer be postponed or negotiated away. It is time for courage over caution, unity over division, and future over fear.

Politics Beyond Bitterness

For Oke Ogun to claim its rightful place in Oyo’s power structure, it must first conquer its greatest enemy — internal division. The politics of ego, rivalry, and bitterness have for too long fractured the region’s collective strength. While Ibadan perfects the art of unity and Ogbomosho masters internal loyalty, Oke Ogun too often burns its energy in intra-regional competition.

This must end.

No zone rises on the wings of discord. The call now is for politics of one for all, and all for one. Oke Ogun must learn that victory for one of its sons is victory for the entire region. Supporting Amofin Beulah Adeoye should not be seen as choosing an individual — it is choosing the Oke Ogun dream, long deferred but never dead.

The Torch of Our Fathers

The elders who laid the foundations of Oke Ogun’s political voice — the likes of Baba Koleosho, Baba Olona, and other great pathfinders — envisioned a region that would one day take its rightful place in the leadership of Oyo State. Their efforts, sacrifices, and wisdom must not go in vain. They planted the seed of unity and justice; this generation must water it with action.

To ignore their legacy now would be to betray the very soul of Oke Ogun.

The Lesson of the Nation

When Goodluck Jonathan rose from the creeks of Bayelsa to the presidency of Nigeria, the nation recognized a principle greater than politics — fairness. That moment proved that no region is too small to lead, no son too humble to serve, and no dream too distant to be realized. Oke Ogun today stands on the same threshold. The call for Beulah Adeoye is not a cry of sentiment; it is a statement of balance, inclusion, and generational renewal.

A Generation Rising

The “Not Too Young To Rule” movement isn’t just about age — it’s about courage, competence, and clarity of purpose. Beulah Adeoye embodies a new breed of leadership — one that listens, unites, and builds. He represents a bridge between the dreams of the elders and the energy of the youths; a leader who understands that progress begins where selfish ambition ends.

Oke Ogun needs not a ruler, but a reformer. Not a politician of empty promises, but a visionary who can translate potential into progress.

The Call to Conscience

2027 must not be another chapter of recycled power and recycled excuses. It must be the moment Oke Ogun looks inward, heals its divisions, and moves as one body with one voice. The people of Oke Ogun — from Iseyin to Saki, from Igbeti to Tede, from Igboho to Otu — must now choose unity over pride and collective destiny over personal gain.

Amofin Beulah Adeoye may call himself “the least,” but in his humility, courage, and conviction lies the possibility of a new dawn for Oke Ogun — and indeed, for Oyo State.

The baton of history is passing, and the eyes of the ancestors are watching. Will Oke Ogun rise to the moment or repeat the mistakes of division?

It is time to reward loyalty with leadership, patience with power, and faith with fulfillment. Oke Ogun’s greatness is not a dream deferred — it is a destiny delayed. And in 2027, that destiny must be fulfilled.

Amofin Beulah Adeoye — the least among the finest, yet the chosen among equals.
The time is now.
Oke Ogun, unite and rise.

Akinwale Atepe writes from Abeokuta.
