The Ogun State Chapter of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has berates non payment of salary deductions to Ogun State workers, PDP in a press release signed by the Party’s Publicity Secretary, Bankole Akinloye (JP).
“It is indeed a huge concern for  Ogun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to note the blatant refusal of remittance  of the Cooperative Deductions up to 10 months to Ogun workforce by the ruling APC government of Prince Dapo Abiodun”.
“PDP as a party frowns at such cruelty from a government which is expected, by all standards, to understand that cooperative deduction is a personal contributory strategy put in place by ogun workers to enhance their personal economic fortunes while in active service. Therefore, such contributory scheme remains their individual entitlements because it is deducted directly from their monthly salaries”.
“As if that is not enough, our party also note with utmost disgust, that Prince Dapo Abiodun-led government is equally owing Primary and Secondary school teachers about 6 years Leave Bonus. Ogun state Pension Scheme is also not remitted to the various Insurance companies for almost 6 years, yet being deducted from workers salaries monthly directly from source. This includes the ones he inherited from his predecessor”.
“Like PDP has always reiterated, it is now crystal clear to the public, with the above inadequacies, that the ruling government lacks the slightest capacity to keep any of its electoral promises and therefore, can not be trusted again”.
“Without any further delay, the PDP demands immediate remitance all outstanding deductions to appropriate quarters for immediate payment to the workers”.
“Again, no teacher in Ogun state deserves to be treated with indignity. The government should pay their bonuses and relief them of unnecessary pressure”.
“Finally, our great party will continue its advocacy for the enthronement of responsive government which will accord the workers their due respect and put their welfare in its pride of place”.
