Sports Journalists in Ogun State under the auspices of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) are intensifying preparations for the second edition of Tokunbo Talabi Table Tennis competition.
The competition, organized for sports journalists in the state, which is slated between November 20 and 23, 2024, will take place at the Abeokuta Sports Club, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta.
In a statement issued by the Secretary of the Association, Comrade Olusegun Folarin, indicated that the annual competition is proudly sponsored by the Secretary to Ogun State government, Mr Tokunbo Talabi.
The SWAN Secretary noted that, the executives are already in talk with the sponsor to organize a memorable competition.
It will be recalled that Mr Rafiu Alarape from Silverbird Television won the maiden edition of the competition, beating Afolabi Sobande of Paramount FM in the final.
