A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Executive Director of Finance at the South West Development Commission, Alhaji Tele Ogunjobi, on Friday declared a renewed and unwavering commitment to the electoral victory of the party in the 2027 general elections, calling for massive support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Dapo Abiodun and Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.
Ogunjobi made the declaration at a strategic political meeting held at his country home in Ago-Iwoye, Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State, shortly after his return from India, where he underwent critical medical surgery.
The meeting, convened to reaffirm his political commitment and mobilise his grassroots political structure ahead of the 2027 elections, attracted a large gathering of members and supporters of the Tele Ogunjobi Political Movement (TOPM) from across Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside Local Government Areas.
Among the political leaders who attended the meeting was the Director-General of Cacus 7202, Alhaji Olaseni Koiki, who led other leaders and members of the group to the gathering. The prominent presence of the Cacus 7202 leadership further underscored the growing political coordination, solidarity and grassroots networking around the emerging 2027 mobilisation efforts in the Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside axis.
Addressing the gathering, Ogunjobi urged members of the movement to remain steadfast, organised and fully committed to the APC’s electoral agenda, stressing that the 2027 elections would require a well-coordinated grassroots mobilisation strategy capable of translating political support into actual votes at the polling units.
As part of the immediate mobilisation strategy, the APC chieftain directed the Tele Ogunjobi Political Movement to commence the appointment and deployment of two dedicated canvassers in every polling unit across the three local government areas that make up the Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency.
According to him, the initiative is designed to strengthen the movement’s grassroots presence, establish direct communication with voters and ensure that every polling unit becomes a focal point for sustained political engagement, voter mobilisation and election-day coordination.
Ogunjobi reiterated his support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the political aspirations of Governor Dapo Abiodun and the emergence of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, Yayi, as Governor of Ogun State in 2027.
He maintained that the APC must approach the 2027 elections with strategic coordination and an aggressive grassroots campaign capable of securing overwhelming victories for the party across Ogun State.
The political leader further charged members of his movement to take the message of the APC directly to the people, insisting that effective political mobilisation must go beyond meetings and rallies to sustained engagement at the ward and polling-unit levels.
The meeting also witnessed a significant gesture of support by Ogunjobi to the leadership of his political movement, as he presented a cheque of ₦1 million to the Chairman of the Tele Ogunjobi Political Movement, Elder Sola Olufeisan.
The presentation was described as a demonstration of Ogunjobi’s appreciation for the dedication and commitment of the movement’s leadership and members to his political structure.
Elder Olufeisan, a respected member of the movement, had previously served as a consultant to the Ogun State Government under Governor Dapo Abiodun. However, according to information made available at the meeting, his remuneration was discontinued after payments covering three months, leaving outstanding obligations reportedly unpaid.
The ₦1 million cheque presented by Ogunjobi therefore further highlighted his commitment to supporting members of his political family and strengthening the internal structure of the movement as it prepares for the 2027 political contest.
The gesture elicited commendation from members of the movement, who described Ogunjobi as a leader who places considerable importance on the welfare, loyalty and contributions of those working within his political structure.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for members of the Tele Ogunjobi Political Movement to celebrate the return of their leader following his successful medical treatment abroad.
In a show of solidarity, members who converged from the three local government areas reaffirmed their loyalty to the movement and their readiness to participate actively in the emerging 2027 mobilisation structure.
The inauguration of two canvassers per polling unit is expected to significantly expand the operational reach of the Tele Ogunjobi Political Movement across the federal constituency and establish a formidable grassroots network ahead of the 2027 electoral contest.
With the directive, the movement has effectively commenced its polling-unit-by-polling-unit mobilisation drive, positioning itself as a major grassroots force in the campaign for the APC’s 2027 electoral victory across Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside.
