ABEOKUTA, NIGERIA – The Technology Incubation Centre (TIC), Abeokuta, has officially unveiled a new, high-visibility landmark signboard at the primary junction leading to its industrial complex. The project is a strategic effort to elevate the hub’s corporate identity and improve navigation for domestic and international investors.
The infrastructural upgrade was fully funded and donated by the Ogidi Olu Aninkan Foundation under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Mr. Olutunde Joseph Aninkan, Chairman of the Foundation, performed the official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Speaking at the commissioning, Mr. Aninkan emphasized the foundation’s commitment to supporting local innovation, youth entrepreneurship, and community-driven development within Ogun State, dedicating the structure to the advancement of the local technology and industrial ecosystem.
The partnership aligns with Nigeria’s National Policy on Private Sector Synergy and the statutory framework of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI). Specifically, the collaboration fulfills guidelines under Chapter 3, Section 4 of the NBTI policy, which encourages private sector organizations to partner with government tiers to expand the economic multiplier effects of the incubation programme.
Mr. Gabriel Olusanya Oguntayo, Centre Manager of TIC Abeokuta, formally received the donation on behalf of the Federal Government. He expressed gratitude on behalf of Dr. Kazeem Kolawole Raji, the Director-General and CEO of the NBTI, praising the foundation for a timely intervention that directly aids commercial viability.

“This installation is a game-changer for the easy identification and corporate description of the Centre,” Mr. Oguntayo said. “By maximizing our physical visibility, we are directly enhancing rapid access for venture capitalists, institutional partners, raw material suppliers, and our resident entrepreneurs.”
The commissioning ceremony was attended by the management team and staff of TIC Abeokuta, marking another step in the Centre’s growth as a key hub for commercialized research and enterprise acceleration in Ogun State.
