ASABA- A 32 year old man, Joseph Ifia was yesterday paraded by the Delta Police Command after being arrested in possession of human parts at Egborode community, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.

Having decried the high level of criminality, Delta State, Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Inuwa noted that the Command has intensified its efforts in providing adequate security of residents of the state.

The Police Boss revealed that the suspect was apprehended by Police operatives in Egborode with human skull and bones the suspect exhumed from a burial ground in the community.

While speaking to Daily Independent, the Indigene of Mereje community, Okpe Local Government Area, claimed that he went in search of human parts to solve his financial problem.

According to him, “My name js Joseph Ifia, I am 32 year old. I am from Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.”

“Actually I was broke so I went to the burial ground to take a human body so I can sell it to solve some of my problem.”

“I took the bones from a thick forest where people who die from witchcraft are buried.”

“Anybody that confesses to be a witch in the community is buried outside the community after death. Most of them are buried in the forest, so I decided to go there to dig out the body.”

“I am a saw miller, so I heard a lot about how people go in search for decayed dead bodies or human part in forest in order to sell them”.
