In order to curb insecurity in Ondo State, the state government has approved death sentences for those convicted of kidnapping. The former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in Tarka Local Government area of Benue State, Aondoakaa Yaiyol, has been killed by gunmen on Friday night. Yaiyol, before he was killed, was the Commander of the Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Services in the local government. The Murtala Muhammed International Airport Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has denied allegations of extortion against the GHR Command by an American Returnee, Oke Adhekegba.
